My name is Sherry. OhSherry was inspired, both by the song and the fact that my husband is always saying "Ohhhhhh Lucy!!!" to me. But my name isn't Lucy. Sherry works better for me. I'm a busy wife, proud mom and smitten g'mother of six little cuties who ooze my DNA. My husband and I are both Floridians, presently living in Jacksonville where we work as property managers. I have been writing for many, many years and actually worked for a local paper for a time but quit on my 39th birthday to dabble in web design. Never quite figured out how to make a living at that but I still love it. Writing is also a passion but it gets left by the wayside when life gets crazy. And life has been crazy in the last ten years or so. The result was a very bad case of writers block. Not to mention trying to get beyond my midlife crisis. LOL. The struggle is REAL. Anyhow, there is a lot more to this story of mine and I'll save it for another time BUT I just have to say that I can relate to a lot being expressed in Introductions. I am not really surprised though that we have life stuff in common. I have been involved with many writers ( artists) over the years and we are definitely a rare breed. So glad to be here... Oh Voice? Thanks for including me. ~Sherry

Ha! Small world. Lived in that area too for a time. Actually just north of there in Ruskin. Hubby and I managed an RV park down there on the Little Manatee River. Other ties to that area. I have a cousin in Sarasota and my son was married on Siesta Key. My mom lives inland from Bradenton. And we still own a home north of Tampa in Citrus County. We are in Jacksonville for work.

My oldest son lives in Sarasota. I can't seem to convince him to move to Wisconsin. I wonder why? I really miss Siesta Key. One of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. And considering that I'm looking out at SNOW... in April... I'm missing the beach more than ever. ~V

Absolutely! No judgements. Actually, I like British accents (they think WE have accents...lol. Sorry Angie, stupid American humor)

LOL, I have to admit that I sometimes read your stories that Yankee accent! Although many people have told me that I actually sound Australian which I find incredibly hard to believe but plenty of people have said that to me!

I love British accents as well (it's a hazard of being a fan of all things British lol) But lately I've come to realize I just like it when people don't sound like me LOL Three cheers for Diversity

Your typical fast-talking New Yorker with a very heavy dose of fandom references that I insist on incorporating in everyday life conversations
