Is there any way to get email notifications when someone replies to a thread or posts something? Hit the subscribe button, I get notifications then!

Great, thanks! I changed my notifications settings, so we'll see how that works.

Here is a simple video tutorial that shows the easiest way to quote multiple sources in your post.

Thanks Chris! So yes, it looks like you do have to do all the quotes at the beginning. You can't be partway through a post and then include a quote from another one. Okay, that's fine. Good to know!

Another question; do you have any option for including the page info (1 / 2 / next) at the bottom of the posts instead of only at the top? It's happened to me several times now that I didn't notice that tiny thing at the top indicating there was more than one page. Then I get to the end of the posts and... well, it looks like that's the last post, so I'm responding to that one. But NOPE, there are more posts on the next page, which I didn't see. Oops!

You can post in between quotes, but you can't add a new quote once you're in the Create Post section and already replying. Thanks Chris! Well, technically you can use BBcode to add a quote after you're in the Create Post section. If you scroll down, you'll see all the previous posts and you can copy and paste what you want and embed the quote in between the quote tags ([ quote ] and [ /quote ]). You can add the name of the person you are quoting, but not the time/date stamp, but adding the author name is a bit cumbersome.

Yes you can. The easiest way is when you reply in a new tab or window. Then you scroll to the post you want to quote. You click on 'quote' with the right mouse button and open that in a new tab or window. Then you chose the BB Code view and copy the code. You go back to your reply, open BB Code view, paste the code in, go back to preview mode, and there you have it. Repeat as much as you want.

Although I doubt I'll ever remember all those steps. I can barely remember not to put the "nose" on my winky faces, after all. Maybe I'll just get better at quoting everyone/everything before I start writing, and then I won't have that problem.

There is a much easier way which I use here. 1. You don't use 'quick reply' but the yellow 'reply' button in the green bar (this one shows up top and bottom). 2. Now you have all the pretty menu buttons. To the right, just left of the smilies you have one that says quote. Click that. A rounded boxwith 'insert quoted text here' appears. 3. Then go to the post and select/copy the text fragment you want to quote. Paste it into your rounded box. 4. If you want to show whom you quote, go to the button left of the C. Here you can chose the right user by just typing a few characters of the name. You put the cursor where you want to have that. Like here: Joy said: Joy Pixley5. You can also do that by just typing @ and the username, or name, but if the username isn't correct, it won't link to the user. You could also just say: Gabi said, that's just as well, but if you want to have the link, that's the way to go. Confused much? It really is simple. Follow the steps once, and you won't need the instruction any more.

Trying this out... Hey that worked! But it didn't show your name / who it was quoted from. That's fine, I can muddle through, I'm sure. Ack, sorry to be such a noob! (Now that I've found the smiley faces, I want to be Pirate Noob.)

Okay, I missed this part. Because I'm an idiot. A pirate noob-idiot.
So... okay, that put you in there, at least.

Yay, way to go, Pirate Noob. I guess you have your nickname now. Arrh. And I guess you saw that, when you scroll down, you have the text of the whole thread nicely displayed for easy copy?
