I want to do some cosplay that is going to incorporate the wheelchair in some way. I have a Harley Quinn outfit that I will be wearing for one of the days but there are another couple of days and I need some inspiration. Well, I have an idea that needs to be done because I am having a picture taken with Jack Gleeson who plays Joffrey… So, basically, I need to transform my wheelchair into the iron Throne. Before anybody shows me the picture of the guy dressed as the dwarf (there is no way that Dragon is going to print his name!) I have already seen it. Basically, I need someone to advice on how to make it! And also who I should cosplay as sitting on the Throne… Any ideas welcome :-)

First allow me to take moment and congratulate you on getting a picture taken with Jack Gleeson. It's rare to have an actor make me hate a character so much. I'd heard he was retiring from acting. I'm no cosplay expert, so if it were me transforming your chair, I'd just cut out swords from cardboard and layer them with aluminum foil for the back of the throne. Not sure if you can do anything with the sides or front. I know it's a cliche, but you could also try going as Professor X. Get one of those skin wig things for your head to make you look bald. Or you could just leave the chair as is and dress like Wonder Woman and tell people your chair is the cockpit of the invisible plane. Ok, I probably shouldn't respond to things like this before I've had my coffee. I hope you post the pic of you and Jack here. I'd love to see that. ~V

Wow, how did it happen that you're going to get your photo taken with Jack Gleeson? That is SO cool!
I think the Iron Throne idea is great, although foil would be too shiny, I'd think. Metallic silver and grey and black paint would probably work better.
As far as who you should cosplay, I'm not very good at making costumes or makeup, so if it were me, I'd start with whatever character I looked the most like, and then make up a good story about how they ended up on the throne.

Not got the picture yet :-) I am going to a convention at the end of July which he will be attending as well. So, I decided that I should get a picture with him because (like Chris said) it is very good that he manages to play a part so well that you thoroughly detest their character! This is why I want to be beside him for the picture with an iron Throne! As for which character I look like… I don't know… None of them? Maybe Aria at a push although God only knows how she would end up on the throne!

Hey, you're a writer, I'm sure you could come up with a fascinating story of how Arya ends up on the throne!

Same way as anybody else I suppose… Scheming, violence, or revenge… Or possibly sex!

Same way as anybody else I suppose… Scheming, violence, or revenge… Or possibly sex! That's pretty much how all things happen in Westeros. I'd say using those devices would be a safe bet.

Regarding wheelchair cosplay: There's also Oracle/Batwoman/Barbara Gordon from the comics

I have made a decision about who I'm going to be sitting on the throne! I think I will leave that as a surprise when I put the picture on here!
It depends on my wheelchair and how I end up doing the throne, because if it is more difficult to take on and off then I will just have to stick with the girl I am going to be!

Right, does anyone know anything about helium? Got a big (36 inch) ball on, will it stay up for 3/4 days or need refilling? Outfit is taking shape!

It depends on what type of balloon it's in. Mylar will hold it for weeks, but your typical rubber balloon won't last but a few days at most.

I am not sure what the material is of the balloon, but it is not a standard rubber balloon. This is probably going to give away who I am dressing as, but it is a dragon.
