I just picked up "The Emotion Thesaurus" by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi. It was suggested by one of the fellows in my new writer's group. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but after just leafing through it I can tell it should help strengthen my writing. I've been looking for ways to reduce the adverbs in my dialogue tags and this should make a big difference.

I've had that on my wish list for a while. All their Thesauruses (thesauri?) look pretty good; I'm not sure which one to try first. I'd be interested in what you think about this one, because I think I'm leaning toward it.

I can tell my writing has changed just from exploring new ways of describing the physical attributes and behaviors of characters to show their dispositions rather than just telling. I'd highly recommend the book.

It sounds great. I have SO many craft books I've bought but haven't even cracked yet (not to mention fiction books). I'll say "I'll put it on my list" but man, the list is long...
